Saltwell Park bonfire night

I didn't think the rain would let up enough to risk taking out my camera from its snug little holdall. Reading J. Leeches exploits on Hadrian's wall with his D300, and how even it may not be totally waterproof, had me a little worried for the longevity of my D80. Saying that, I didn't want to leave it in the car, so took it into the display with me, but not the tripod. Mistake...... The authorities need shooting for the total disregard for all the wildlife resident on Saltwell Parks lake. I have never seen or heard such a distressed flock of birds in my life, and spectacle though it may have been, I do not think I could stand and witness their plight next year..... My daughter was so concerned re: the wildlife, we left early. I will stick to the Nissan display, and the Mill house display next year, and use my tripod.. heh.
