Beginner's Guide: Depth-of-field
Understanding the role that depth-of-field has to play in your images is fundamental to helping you develop as a creative photographer. The amount of depth-of-field within a scene is intrinsic to the emphasis of your subject within the general scene and the overall impact of the shot, so the importance of understanding the techniques involved with depth-of-field cannot be over-emphasised.
