
Sigma SD15 updated to firmware version 1.02
Sigma has updated the firmware of the SD15, including the ability to record RAW and JPG images simultaneously
Sigma has upgraded the SD15's firmware to version 1.02.
The update offers a range of new features, including the ability to simultaneously record in JPG and RAW formats.
Other improvements include heightened accuracy of evaluative metering and flashgun light control.
The firmware update will also correct a number of bugs to make camera operation more stable.
You can check the current firmware running on your Sigma SD15 by following these instructions:
- Turn the camera on
- Press MENU to display the camera set up menu
- Select firmware from the menu
- The current firmware version will now be displayed, If the camera displays version 1.01 or lower, you will need to install the update
To update the firmware on your Sigma SD15, follow these instructions:
- Format a 512MB or larger SD card in the camera and connect to your computer and head to http://www.sigma-sd.com/SD15/firmware.html on your computer. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Download
- Select to save the firmware onto the SD card
- Turn the camera off and disconnect from the camera
- Turn the camera back on again and navigate to the camera set up menu
- Select firmware and press the OK button to display the firmware update window and select OK to start the firmware upgrade
