Nissin Di866 Flashgun
"A USB port allows for firmware to be updated via your computer!"
Nissan launch Canon/Nikon compatible pro flashgun
If you’re looking to add a pro flashgun to your kitbag, but think the SB-900 or 580 EX II are outside your budget then you may want to take a look at the Nissan Di866.
Available now, the Canon version is compatible with DSLRs and Powershot hotshoe cameras, while the Nikon unit fits DSLRs and cameras from the Coolpix range.
Priced at £369, the Di866 is aiming to become a genuine alternative to Canon and Nikon’s brand name flashguns and comes with a guide number of 60m (ISO 100 at 105mm).
A USB port allows for firmware to be updated via your computer and Nissin claim the unit has a speedy recycling time of 3.5 seconds.
The Di866 offers sync speeds above 1/250th of second thanks to a high speed sync option, plus there is a second reflector located above the AF assist beam, which fires when the main zoon head has been switched to bounce mode.
