Nikon announce 85mm macro lens

Nikon users may want to add a lens to their Christmas wish list after the brand announced today they are to launch a new 85mm macro option in December.

Costing £499, the AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 85mm f/3.5G VR is a compact and lightweight macro lens with a 1:1 reproduction ratio.

With a FX format focal length of 127.5mm, this lens would be perfect for both close-up and portraiture photography. What’s more the lens comes with Nikon’s VR II vibration reduction system, allowing photographers to use the lens, either handheld, or in low light conditions.
