Canon produces its 50 millionth EF lens
When the latest Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro IS USM lens rolled off the production line, it was the cause of more excitement than usual.
The lens marked a massive milestone for Canon, as it was the company’s 50 millionth EF lens. An amazing feat for the EF series, which started production in 1987 and has produced 10 million of that total in just the last two years!
Well done Canon, here’s to the next 50 million!
