Panasonic launch the GF2
Lightweight hybrid hits the market
Panasonic's latest G-series Lumix, the 12.1-megapixel DMC-GF2, is the world's smallest and lightest hybrid camera. It's compatible with all Lumix Micro Four Thirds lenses, including the recently announced 3D lens and features a pop-up integral flash, a 460,000-dot LCD monitor with a touch screen capability that can be used to control AF and firing the shutter as well as selecting menus and modes. It also boats a Full HD capability (1920x1080 pixels).
An aluminum chassis boosts this hybrid's durability and the camera is available in three color schemes; black, silver and red. The Panasonic DMC-GF2 is due for release at the end of January with three kit options: the 14mm pancake lens; with the 14-42mm lens or with the 14mm and 14-42mm lenses.
